A good day today with both Maghull in Bloom Steering Group and Frank Hornby Trust meetings attended.
Maghull in Bloom is a joy to work on as everyone involved has the Maghull community at heart. We are hoping to get into more sustainable living issues and spent some time bringing the meeting up to speed with the visit I and a couple of other ‘In Bloomers’ had to Todmorden two weeks ago. I posted on that at the time.
As for Hornby, well being a model railway buff I am going to enjoy working with like minded folk am I not! Today’s meeting had a representative from Liverpool Museum present and I think we have probably recruited an additional trustee in the form of Patrick McKinley a fellow local councillor who clearly has a great interest in local history.
Both organisations are a credit to Maghull and today was one of those days when being a local councillor is a really positive thing.
