Sunny Southport was buzzing today in glorious sunshine.
I found this very recent video of Southport Model Railway Village on youtube. If you are visiting Southport the Model Village is well worth a visit.

Let’s face it if you are male of any age you probably like trains, even those of you who are not prepared to admit it! And railways are not always a male preserve as I know women who are interested in trains.
Here, at Southport Model Railway Village, you have just about the largest size of model railway that can be bought. The tracks are 45mm apart and it is called G Scale; much bigger than Hornby’s OO and even larger than O scale. What’s more G Scale trains are made for running outside hence this large outdoor model railway village is worth a visit.
If you go to the Village web site you can click on ‘Gallery’ and watch the videos of trains running at a fast model speed.
Here are a few shots I have taken on previous visits there:-
