Only a few weeks ago Southport FC looked doomed to relegation from the National League but a new manager and results have quite remarkably turned around.
Another win yesterday in a high scoring match where Port scored 5 goals. Things are looking up for Sandgrounders.
Oh dear, Southport are really struggling this season, so much so that Paul Carden their latest Manager has agreed to go, following their 4 – 0 loss last Saturday.
There’s a danger here of revolving door managers at Southport, no sooner in the door than out again. The future for Sefton Borough’s premiere football club is not looking too bright – 3rd from bottom in the Vanarama National League.
Let’s hope the next new broom can lift Southport out of the relegation zone.
